The craft still matters.

Writing code is getting faster, but the responsibility for what we ship hasn’t gone away.

We are at a pivotal age in software history. AI agents are producing code faster than humans can understand it, and sometimes that makes us feel like we have lost control of what is being built. Code is becoming more of a liability than it ever was. If left unchecked, the speed of today will result in a massive slowdown tomorrow.

We believe people should shape the work by defining the specifications, challenging decisions, and steering agents toward better ideas and implementations. Agents can help us build more, but we remain ultimately responsible for understanding the risks and owning the outcome.

Our goal is to make Atelier the workshop where teams can craft more ambitious software without losing their understanding of it or spending their time coordinating its delivery. Atelier is built with the largest engineering organizations in mind while remaining accessible to teams of every size.

The intent behind every change is becoming more important than the code itself. We want to capture it at every stage so each change remains understandable as it evolves, with its intent, discussion, decisions, and path to release tied to the exact code. The next teammate or agent can then build on that context instead of reconstructing it from scratch.

To support that way of working, we are building a fast, reliable, and scalable versioning engine, a review experience that helps you understand and control what you ship, and an opinionated path from idea to release.

Our commitment is to our customers. We work with the models, agents, and tools you choose, without tying you to any particular provider. Your work stays portable, and we use your code and other customer data only to provide and operate our service for you, not to train any AI models.

Atelier is the workshop for teams who care about the craft of software engineering. Join us in defining the way software ships in the next decade.
